New Delhi: It has been over 38 years since Ramesh Sippy’s popular film ‘Sholay’ hit the big screen. And the impact the cult classic has left on the viewers remains indelible even now. From movie buffs to popular movie stars, everybody is busy talking about the film, courtesy the release of ‘Sholay 3D’.
Actor Salman Khan too took to Twitter to urge his fans to watch the film. “Sholay. The dada of all movie’s. go n see it, amitji, dharamji, sanjeev kuma, hemaji, amjad khan, jayaji, asranij,jagdeepji r superb (sic),” his first tweet read.
“Its a cult film, experience it, its a journey. The way the film is written, directed n produced 30+yrs ago,” he added.
Besides appreciating the efforts of lead actors Amitabh Bachchan, Dharamendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Hema Malini and Amjad Khan, Salman also congratulated the film’s director Ramesh Sippy and writers Salim Khan (his father) and Javed Akhtar.
“Seriously, never seen a better performed, directed, written, photographed, produced, acted, edited, background score, cameo roles r toh standing,” his next tweet read.
Unlike film’s director Ramesh Sippy, who wasn’t happy with the release of ‘Sholay 3D’, writers Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan have been promoting it.
