Mumbai: If Madhuri Dixit stunned you in the trailer of her upcoming film, Dedh Ishqiya then she will capture your imagination in Hamari Atariya Pe, the new song from the film uploaded on YouTube.
Madhuri Dixit plays the character of Begum Para in the film which is a sequel to Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi’s 2010 film Ishqiya.
The song which is a modern rendition of Begum Akhtar’s popular thumri by the same name is sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and the music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
Choreographed by Remo D’Souza who is a co-judge with Dixit on TV show Jhalak Dikhlajaa the song reminds one of the actress’ Chandramukhi act in the song Maar Dala song from Devdas where she was dressed in a similar courtly attire.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Raman Maroo and Vishal Bhardwaj, the film is set to be released on January 10, 2014.
