Yash Chopra’s swansong Jab Tak Hai Jaan brought Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif together on screen. Three years on, Aanand L Rai wants the hit pair for his next film.
This is the same film the director had narrated to Salman Khan. After talks with Salman didn’t work out, Aanand roped in SRK who will be playing the role of a midget in the film, in a rural milieu.
An insider from the production team reveals, “Aanand and Katrina have been in talks, but there’s been no script reading or narration yet.” Talks will resume once Kat, currently in Scotland shooting for shooting for Baar Baar Dekho with Sidharth Malhotra, returns.
“SRK is currently in Iceland completing his Dilwale shoot, so has only heard the story in brief. An official narration will take place soon,” reveals the source.
Aanand plans to go on floors early next year which means Shah Rukh will juggle between this untitled film and Gauri Shinde’s next, after he wraps up promotions for Dilwale. Also, the final schedule for Raees has now been pushed by three months and will tentatively be re-scheduled in December.
