Bollywood diva Vidya Balan is likely to play the role of former PM Indira Gandhi, in a biopic on the former PM’s life.
The movie will be directed by Manish Gupta who has earlier delivered films like Rahasya and Sarkar.
Reportedly, Vidya has liked the script but is still sceptical about playing the role.
Director Manish Gupta stated that the movie will be a tell-all tale about Indira Gandhi covering all events of her life right from her birth to assassination.
Although Gupta assured that all precautions will be taken regarding the film, he is still waiting for the approval from the Gandhi family.
Manish had approached Vidya about three-four months ago for the role. While he had been trying to get permission before approaching Vidya, the actress herself hasn’t given a go-ahead for the film yet.
However, recently Vidya also expressed her desire to play the role of Indira Gandhi. But now it would have to be seen, whether the film takes off or not.
