Amid reports claiming that Mani Ratnam was hospitalised in New Delhi following a cardiac arrest, his wife Suhasini has said the ace director is alright.
“All is well with Mani sir. It’s check up for discomfort. Reaching Chennai tomorrow”, the actress-filmmaker said.
Mala Manyan, executive producer of Mani Ratnam’s ‘OK Kanmani’, was quoted as saying by a news agency, “Mani and his wife were holidaying in Delhi. A master health checkup was long overdue. He got it in done in a hospital in Delhi to avoid Chennai public eye.”
An official at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi reportedly said: “The family doesn’t want information about his medical condition to be made public so we are not authorised to share any details.”
