When it comes to versatility, there’s no beating Anushka Sharma. Be it playing the sexy jazz singer Rosie Noronha in Bombay Velvet, the chirpy Punjabi kudi Shruti in Band Baaja Baarat or the vengeful Meera in NH10, the actress has been seen in various avatars and has done splendid job while essaying them. Kill Bill- Uma Thurman
This martial arts action thriller directed by Quentin Tarantino still finds a place in people’s ‘favourite films’ list. Uma Thurman played the deadly Beatrix, who avenges her husband’s death and kills all who were involved in his murder. A similar role was essayed by Anushka in her film NH10 where she brutally ended several lives in a fit of rage to seek revenge for her husband’s (Neil Bhoopalam) death. Wouldn’t it be awesome if Anushka played Beatrix and kicked ass with some deadly martial arts. We can SO picture it!
Moulin Rouge – Nicole Kidman
Anushka will be seen as the sexy Jazz singer Rosie Noronha in her upcoming film Bombay Velvet. We got a hint of her Jazzy form from the trailer of Dil Dhadakne Do where the actress will be seen pulling off a dance number of a similar genre. With that kind of glamour and pizzazz, we can easily imagine the beauty playing Nicole Kidman’s role as the irresistible Satine from Moulin Rouge! Be it the moves or oomph, what does Anushka NOT have to play this part?
Erin Brockovich- Julia Roberts
Who can forget Julia Roberts as the strong, confident and independent woman as and in Erin Brockovich? Anushka possesses all the qualities to play this character and there’s no denying that. We can imagine the actress taking a stand on what she believes in and shutting all up with her daring statements!
27 Dresses- Katherine Heigl
Before Anushka ventured into serious and intense roles, she was known as the chirpy girl next door and has essayed characters as such in film like Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. So why not give Anushka a role which she and her fans can relate to? Hence we pick Katherine Heigl as Jane from 27 Dresses! We can picture the beauty in oh-so-many gorgeous dresses, finding her prince charming and having her happily ever after.
Gravity- Sandra Bullock
Putting forth a venture like Gravity is still pretty much a far-fetched idea in Bollywood and seems next to impossible. However if at all the same had been plausible in current times, we can think of no one other than Anushka to play Sandra Bullock’s role as Dr Ryan Stone from Gravity. The actress will nail it as an astronaut who’s lost in space and is finding her way back home. And won’t she look awesome in a space suit?
