Actresses are not aging on Indian TV shows, at least their new looks suggests that! Their shows have gone through a time leap and these actresses should have grown older, but they have actually started looking much younger! They’ve ditched their traditional look for a more glamorous avatar. Check out Hina Khan, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Neha Marda or Deepika Singh…
Actress: Hina Khan Character: Akshara Show: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai Time leap: 10 years
Hina, the Singhania family bahu, now lives in South Africa after the 10-year leap. She is now a careerwoman, who is seen in western outfits. The transformation from sarees to pants is making her look nip and younger, even as she plays mother to teenager children.
Actress: Deepika Singh Character: Sandhya Show: Diya Aur Baati Hum Time leap: 6 years
Deepika transformed from a typical sari-clad bahu to a police officer in the show. In the process, she also moved on to wearing Indo-western outfits and now after the show took a five-year leap, Deepika in fact looks much younger. And well, more cheerful too.
Actress: Devoleena Bhattacharjee Character: Gopi bahu Show: Saath Nibhaana Saathiya Time leap: 10 years
Devoleena looked much older when she wore sarees with a pallu on her head earlier. She now sports designer sarees and blouses and with her transformation, she seems to have knocked off a few years. Never mind the fact that she plays mother to grown-up daughters in the show.
Actress: Neha Marda Character: Urmi Show: Doli Armaanon Ki Time leap: 6 years
Neha who played a wife suffering violence at the hands of her husband, was seen in a simpler get-up before the show went through a five-year leap. She now has a more glamorous look. She has got married a second time and her son has grown up too. Like all the other actresses, Neha too isn’t complaining. Who wouldn’t want to look younger, after all!
