Mumbai: Currently basking in the success of his latest movie, Yennai Arindhaal, Tamil superstar Ajith has another reason to celebrate. His wife and actres Shalini delivered a baby boy on Monday morning at 4.30 am in Chennai. The couple already has a 7-year-old daughter, Anushka.
“Shalini delivered a boy early this morning. Both the mother and child are doing absolutely fine,” a source close to Ajith told the media on Monday.
Ajith and Shalini fell in love on the sets of the film Amarkalam in 1999 and got married in 2000.
Ajith fans went beserk on Twitter and hashtag #KuttyThala trended for hours. Ajith is fondly called Thala(leader) by his fans after a character he played in Dheena(2001). Ajith’s son has been nicknamed Kutty Thala (baby leader) by his fans on Twitter.
