Mumbai; According to the latest grapevine, Kangana Ranaut has been signed to play Aamir Khan’s daughter in ‘Dangal’. After the super-duper success of ‘PK’, the perfectionist returns with a power packed script in which he will be seen in the role of a wrestler Mahavir Phogat. The film is a biopic based on the life of Mahavir Phogat.

Few weeks back, Aamir in Mahavir Phogat’s looks was captured by media and he looks aged in the picture. The movie has been helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. The ‘Queen’ actress will enact the role of Mahavir’s daughter Geeta Phogat in the film.

The story of ‘Dangal’ is based on the life of Mahavir Phogat, the Indian wrestler and Geeta Phogat, his daughter and the first woman wrestler of India. Mahavir trained his daughter Geeta to win many accolades, including the Bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. ‘Dangal’ will be an inspiring story for many women in Haryana as well in many parts of India where girls are touted to be a burden and they are deprived from studies. Geeta Phogat is India’s first female wrestler who won gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 55 kg free-style category and her sister Babita won silver. 55 year old Mahavir coaches his two daughters to make a place in wrestling. The two daughters worked hard and made their father as well the nation proud with their achievement at the national and international level.

For the first time Kangana Ranaut and Aamir Khan will be working together. The duo had once expressed their desire to work with one another. Aamir praised Kangana’s acting skill and Kangana too is a big fan of the actor. Their ideology is also similar to some degree. Like Aamir, Kangana also boycott award functions as she is not favour of the award procedure.
Recently, Kangana threw a bash to celebrate her win at Filmfare awards. She has been awarded best actress award for ‘Queen’ performance. Kangana is highly excited to grab the project.

Well, we hope the unique father-daughter duo combination will take the silver screen by storm!
