Mumbai : Recently released on Friday 6th february, R Balki directed film Shamitabh, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in lead role, has an average response during opening weekend, it’s earned Rs 8.25 crore in two days.
Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan plays a voice artist, who lip syncs for a mute actor, played by Dhanush, in the film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the opening weekend collections of ‘Shamitabh.’ he wrote :

Shamitabh chronicles the story of two talented men, whose camaraderie turns a bitter due to ego clashes. ‘Shamitabh’ is Amitabh and Balki’s third collaboration after ‘Paa’ and ‘Cheeni Kum’. The film also marks the debut venture of Kamal Hassan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan.
