Success didn’t come to Jacqueline overnight, it was long period of struggle for her.
“After five years of struggle, I am here. Nothing comes easy, Kick didn’t come to me overnight. It was a tough and pretty long journey to reach this level, to be paired opposite a huge star like Salman Khan,” says Jacqueline. She continues, “I couldn’t have asked for more. I feel like I am being re-launched in Bollywood. I had to work really hard at my dreams and I am definitely living my dream.”
So has she become more confident now? “Confidence comes with success. Kick did so well at the box office and it has definitely brought a change in confidence. There was a low period for me which I am able to break. But more than confidence I am very happy.
I felt confident when I signed Kick and it was further enforced when the film did well. Though I never felt out of place in this industry but now there is a sense of acceptance. I feel more comfortable being here.” And Jacqueline still can’t fathom the fact that she has done a movie with Salman Khan. “I still can’t come to terms even now… after the film is shot and released.
Salman is so big, when you travel with him you realise his fame and popularity and how huge a star he is,” says Jacqueline.
