New Delhi: Actor-singer-Director Farhan Akhtar has turned 41 today.
Akhtar is the son of Honey Irani and lyricist Javed Akhtar, and was born in Mumbai in1974. Starting his career as an assistant director he shot to fame with ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, his directional debut in 2001. He has worked with the who’s who of the industry including Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Don’ and ‘Don 2’ and Hrithik Roshan in ‘Lakshya’.
Farhan took to acting with ‘Rock On!!’ for which he won a second National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi as the producer. He attained further success with ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ but reached the pinnacle with the sports biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ winning him a lot of appreciation as well as a Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
He is married to Adhuna Bhabani since 2000, and the happy couple have two children named Shakya and Akira.
