Mumbai: Director Mohit Suri and actress Udita Goswami have been blessed with a baby girl on Friday. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who is also Mohit Suri’s uncle, took to Twitter to share the news

Udita and Mohit welcomed their first child- a girl, says filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. “Mohit Suri and Udita have received a gift from the Gods! A baby girl has just descended from the ‘skies’ into their life,” Bhatt tweeted.

Bhatt and Mohit, 33, collaborated in many films together including ‘Zeher’, ‘Kalyug’ and ‘Murder 2’. They have teamed up again for this year’s release ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, which stars Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles.

Suri tied the knot with Udita in 2013 after dating her for about nine years. Udita who has been out of the limelight for sometime now had recently said she enjoys being a housewife.

His cousin Pooja Bhatt had launched Udita in Bollywood with her 2003 film ‘Paap’ and two years later, Suri directed the actress in her second film ‘Zeher’.

The ‘Ek Villain’ director, who is currently working on his next venture ‘Humari Adhuri Kahani’, has taken time off for her wife and daughter. “I will spend the entire month of January with Udita. Her mother will join us, but I want to be around,’’ he said.

Udita was last seen in Sunil Shetty-starrer ‘Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai’ in 2012.

Mohit is likely to start Karan Johar’s next film which is a remake of the French movie, ‘The Intouchables’. He will submit the script of the film to KJo soon. It is a two-hero film and Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapoor may be part of it.
