However, among the few films that lived up to the promise, audiences were treated with some of the stellar performances, that fine talents can exhibit. As we are about to welcome 2015, here’s taking a look at some of the actors who got under the skin of the character to do utmost justice to the film.
Riteish Deskhmukh in ‘Ek Villain’
Best known for his comic timing, Riteish Deshmukh couldn’t have asked for a better film that ‘Ek Villain’ to prove that he is a versatile actor. The year 2014 saw 3 consecutive films of Riteish do exceptionally well at the Box Office. The actor also made his debut in Marathi cinema as an actor in ‘Lai Bhaari’, which went on to become a massive hit.
Aamir Khan in ‘PK’
Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood- Aamir Khan – has proved yet again why he is one of the best actors of Indian Cinema. The actor picked up Bhopuri to essay the role of ‘PK’. The innocence on PK’s face speaks volumes about the efforts Aamir as an actor must have taken to look so naive and childlike. Not an easy task for sure!
Randeep Hooda in Highway
One of the most underrated actors of Bollywood- Randeep Hooda – essayed the role of an abductor who eventually loses his heart to the girl whom he kidnaps. None could have portrayed the transition in character- from being a stone-hearted killer to a selfless lover, as Hooda did. Wish we could see him more often on the silverscreen.
Rajkummar Rao in Citylights
Rajkummar Rao, who won a million hearts as ‘Shahid’ last year, delivered yet another performance worth a wolf-whistle this year in ‘Citylights’. Rao performed splendidly as a jobless person struck by tragedy.
