New Delhi: Furious sketching, endless discussion sessions, 25 artists at work – that’s how SS Rajamouli’s dream project Baahubali is coming to life. A new video on the making of Baahubali has already set the temperature soaring, one that shows how the ambitious project is being put together, piece by piece.

Baahubali (One with Strong Arms) is an upcoming epic action Telugu film starring stars Prabhas (protagonist) and Rana Daggubati (antagonist). It also features Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah as the lead heroines, with both playing warrior princesses.

One look at the video is enough to tell why Rajamouli is among the best filmmakers in the country, definitely top notch in the south. After Eega, it is only natural that the world expects more from him.

Detailing is the order of the day – from fine-line sketches down to the detailed calculations for the engineering behind its buildings, first on paper and then on sets. The video shows how small models of each set are built and then actual sets of palaces and darbars come alive.

Great pains have been taken to put together the smallest of weapons and bits of jewellery to the grandest of palaces, battle sequences, war machines and an array of battle horses and elephants.

The makers of Baahubali had previously released the look of each of four major characters.

But what is the film about? No one knows for sure as the key elements of the story have been kept a secret. But looking at the video it’s clear that this one will be epic in every sense of the term.
