Mumbai: Roy’s first song, Sooraj Dooba Hai featuring Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ranbir Kapoor is out, and whether it is melodious or not isn’t as important as the fact that each scene that we see in the video of the song, deserves to be put up on a Pinterest board.
So, what do you think? The board that you created for ‘Hot Men’ totally deserves a screengrab of Rampal in his fedora hat, doesn’t it? In fact, you can also pin Kapoor’s photo, so what if he is not looking hot, you can hashtag it #Puppydogeyes and make do (he is cute after all). And as for Fernandez, everything that she wore should be added to your ‘Fashion and Style’ board (Right now!). And, while you are at a pinning spree we are sure you’d also what to pin those beautiful cars and gorgeous locations on some board that you have.
However, despite all the visual treat, Sooraj Dooba Hai isn’t quite the party anthem it is posing to be. In fact, it is almost a dozy romantic number with an upbeat chorus. Fernandez’s dance steps also look stale and somehow reminds you of Tumhi Ho Bandhu choreography from Cocktail.
The best thing about the film can be Rampal and Fernandez’s chemistry, which makes this song work as well. However, as far as Fernandez’s chemistry with Kapoor is concerned, you will have to try hard and find that, at least in this song.
Despite Arijit Singh and Aditi Singh Sharma’s voice, the track isn’t really catchy enough to be played on the loop. The lyrics of the song has been penned by Kumaar and the music was composed by Amaal Mallik.
A T-Series Film, Roy has been Produced by Divya Khosla Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar and directed by Vikramjit Singh. It will release on 13 February, 2015.
