Mumbai: The upcoming film ‘Tevar’, starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha is creating a lot of buzz among the movie goers. The on screen chemistry of the leading couple is stupendous and this has been borne out once again by the new song which has now been released. This song titled ‘Joganiya’ is a romantic number which nicely represents the feelings and emotions of the lead couple.
Quite a number of songs have been released from ‘Tevar’. ‘Superman’ was a rollicking number aimed at paying homage to the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan while ‘Radha Nachegi’ showed Sonakshi in a seductive role. These were followed by the number titled ‘Let’s celebrate’ which is a foot tapping party song. ‘Joganiya’ is the final addition to the list.
It has been written by Kausar Munir and the music has been composed by Sajid Wajid. It has been sung by singer actress Shruti Hassan and the vocals are outstanding. The tangy voice of Shruti is the perfect choice for this romantic number and the background score has done justice to her singing style. Her previous song ‘Luck aazmaa’ gave a glimpse into her musical prowess. This song showcases her talents perfectly.
The song is truly a soulful number where Arjun appears in the role of a fierce protector. Sonakshi is seen to be in awe of him. Her performance is reminiscent of her role in ‘Lootera’. She has managed to portray her feelings and emotions very clearly as she falls in love with Arjun. However the whole sequence is bound to remind you of a particular track from ‘Ishaqzaade’. It is the track titled ‘Pareshan’ featuring Pareneeti Chopra. Arjun too seem to be playing a similar role. Still, the song manages to stand out.
The story of ‘Tevar’ revolves round Arjun Kapoor who is a kabaddi champion but poor. He helps Sonakshi to escape from the clutches of the evil MLA, Gajendar Singh. Arjun rescues her by accident as the unwanted suitor is all ready to force her to marry. The two fall in love and has to overcome a number of challenges in order to full fill their love. In addition to Arjun and Sonakshi, Manoj Vajpayee also plays an important role in the film. The music has been presented by Eros International. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor and is directed by Amit Sharma. ‘Tevar’ is all set to be released on 9th of January next year.
