Mumbai: After a long wait, we will again see the awesome twosome Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in Jagga Jasoos. As the name suggests, it is a detective based film but a little musical as well.
The makers have tried their best to keep the plot under wraps, but Katrina chose to reveal a bit about the film and Ranbir’s character.
In a leading daily, she was quoted as saying, “People have asked me if there are 20 songs in the film. I think that’s something totally insane. I cannot tell you how many songs are there but it is a musical film in the traditional sense.”
On Ranbir’s role, she said, “All I can tell you is that he plays a sort of detective but not in the traditional sense.”
The film will reportedly be a trilogy and has Ranbir’s character on the lines on Tintin.
Ranbir and Katrina last shared screen space in the film Rajneeti (2010), and are coming together for Jagga Jasoos now. The film is being directed by Anurag Kashyap, whose last outing with Ranbir, Barfi!, was much acclaimed and had found its way to the Oscars, too. Let’s hope the Anurag Basu-Ranbir Kapoor duo is able to work the Barfi-charm with Jagga Jasoos, too.
