Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit-Nene had allegedly received extortion threats from a 23-year-old man, who was later arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Thursday.
The culprit, Pravin Kumar Pradhan, threatened the actor by sending messages that he will kill her kids if she fails to deposit required money in his account.
Several news sources were not sure whether messages were sent by messages or WhatsApp. Reports suggest that the man sent around four text messages to Madhuri. A report published in a website reveals that the accused mentioned in one of the texts that he belonged to gangster Chota Rajan’s gang.
Reports also suggest that the accused used to work in a restaurant in Mumbai and is claiming to be an aide of Chota Rajan.
The Mumbai Police is investigating the matter.
