Mumbai Shweta Basu Prasad has seen a lot in the last couple of months. After being allegedly involved in a sex racket that made headlines, Basu suffered an emotional trauma like no other. And yet, the young actor has shown exceptional courage to come out of the sorry episode slowly yet surely. There were reports doing the rounds that the National Award winning actor was roped in by the popular filmaker Hansal Mehta for his forthcoming project. But rubbsihning those rumors now Shweta has reportedl revealed that she is now teaming up with none other than Anurag Kashyap.
While talking to a leading newspaper, Shweta confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am a script consultant at Phantom. I am essentially a curator there, assigned the job of going through potentially promising scripts. It’s a job I like doing as it is helping me to grow as an actor when I read the scripts.”
For now, the Iqbal actor will start working as a scrip consultant with Phantom production, owned by Anurag Kashyap in association with Vikramaditya Motwane and the Queen famed director Vikas Bahl. So has Shwetaa given up acting and does she plan to return to movies. There were reports about Hansal Mehta signing Shweta for a documentary. However, they weren’t true maintains Shweta. “I came across a report that I had been signed for a documentary by Mr. Mehta. How can I play a role in a documentary? The person who wrote this obviously has no clue what he was talking about,” clarifies the 23-yaer-old.
