Judging by the response Darshan’s Ambareesha has managed to get on the first day, it is definite that the movie will managed to a good collection at the box office. However, a good collection at the box office does not determine the quality of the movie.
Amabreesha was released in over 280 theaters all over Karnataka. This is perhaps the biggest release any Kannada movie has got so far. The main theater for the movie, Prasanna, is having 6 shows. The first show started at 6 AM in the morning. The tickets for the movie has been sold out for almost all shows till Saturday. In spite of this terrific response, the viewers don’t seem to be happy with the movie.
The twitter was flooded with review for Ambareesha. Most of them were negative. While the people by and large appreciated Darshan’s acting, the director Mahesh K Sukhadare has been blamed be messing up a good script. Most of the viewers felt that the in spite of having a good script, the director has done a terrible job of making the movie. Screenplay is complete drag. Many fans of Darshan are feeling dejected with the quality of the movie. After all they had waited for more than a year to see him on the silver screen.
Viewers are urging the actor to not work with the director again. Seems like the main problem for the movie has been the poor screenplay. A movie such as Ambareesha is meant to have a fast paced, high octane screenplay. Indulging in too much of details in a mass movie is usually a recipe if disaster. After all this negative review, it is not sure if the movie could break the record of Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna.
