Clearly, things were hot enough when Sunny Leone entered the Bigg Boss house in the show’s fifth season. To help spike the TRP ratings of the show and for this Diwali to be truly dhamakedaar, the producers have decided to rope in British porn star Shanti Dynamite as the second wild card entry for the show, according to media.
Earlier, celebrities like Pamela Anderson and Leone have been roped in to grab eyeballs. If reports are to be believed, there’s been a steep drop in Bigg Boss 8’s viewership, forcing the makers to add this brand of masala. Clearly, the ongoing on screen drama has done nothing for the show producers, hence the ‘Dynamite’ entry.
The first wild card entry in the show, Ali Quli Mirza, didn’t go down too well with contestants. Apart from rubbing all participants the wrong way, the Dubai-based singer was the first captain in the house. Reports had earlier suggested that Mirza will enter the house with a game plan. Will the porn star succeed where Mirza failed, as far as ratings are concerned?
Speculation abound about what may transpire after Shanti’s entry, but the contestants don’t appear to be too happy with the new visitor. According a report in the media actor Soni Singh, who was evicted from the house on Sunday, said it is wrong to promote porn stars when so many eligible actors are waiting to get in the controversial house.
Speaking to media, Singh said:
“We all know it is not correct to promote porn stars. Kyun badhawaa detein hain hum inhe? [Why do we encourage them?] There are so many talented people who are waiting for that one chance to prove their potential. Kyun nahi aise logon ko badhawaa diya jaata? [Why don’t we promote those people?] I really don’t know if the makers are roping in Shanti to offer something new and different to the viewers. As long as she doesn’t promote pornography in the show, it is fine. If we get to know about the life she lives and the kind of person she is in real life, it is okay. I have played negative roles in family shows, but that doesn’t make me the same person in real life. So I think Shanti too deserves a chance. Humein kya pata woh kaisi hain aam zindagi mei? [How do we know what kind of person she is in real life?]”
Rumour has it that the British porn star has plans to make her debut in Bollywood with Ikram Akhtar’s directorial venture. This journey has become something of a trend in the Bigg Boss house. Sunny Leone decided to quit her career in the porn industry and be a full time actor in Bollywood, following a similar trajectory.
