Karnataka Bank baggs Exellence award 2012-13

Mangalore, August 5: Karnataka Bank Ltd, Mangalore, has bagged the coveted Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) excellence awards for the year 2012-13, among small banks, according to a press release.

The bank had won the award under the categories of Best Bank Award for Managing IT Risks and Best Bank Award for use of IT for business innovation.

Reserve Bank of India Governor Dr. D. Subba Rao, presented the award at Hyderabad on 02-08-2013 and Managing Director and CEO of the bank P.Jayarama Bhat, received the awards on behalf of the Bank.

After receiving the award he said that these awards demonstrate Karnataka Bank’s commitment to maintaining global standards of safety and security in the use of Information Technology and also making the best and innovative use of the same to enhance the levels of customer service and satisfaction.

The bank having the turnover of Rs.78000 crore and it has a network of 1097 Service Outlets comprising of 556 branches and 541 ATMs spread across the country.
