Police security continued in Padutonse Bengre on Thursday after tension gripped the village over a Muslim family keeping a young bull.

Scores of police personnel stood guard in the village and the contingent included a Deputy Superintendent of Police, two Circle Police Inspectors, one Inspector and three Sub Inspectors and three platoons of District Armed Reserve Police Force.

Superintendent of Police M.B. Boralingaiah said the situation in the village was peaceful.
