Even as his relationship with Bollywood star Anushka Sharma keeps the rumour mills busy, India cricketer Virat Kohli has insisted that his Bollywood connections are not as strong as perceived.
Kohli was unveiled as Indian Super League franchise FC Goa’s co-owner yesterday, where he was probed about his ‘Bollywood connections.’
A poker-faced Kohli shot back, “How is my connection with Bollywood good?”
Another unrelenting journalist, refusing to take the hint, asked: “You have many friends in Bollywood. Will they support your team?”
Kohli, now not amused at this not-so-subtle attempt to drag his girlfriend into his new venture, replied, “I don’t have too many friends in Bollywood.
There are only a few people that I know. Varun (Dhawan, the ‘first friend’ of FC Goa) is one of them. Obviously, your friends are all going to support you and that’s a common thing.”
