Mangalore, July 27: Indeed a rare family in the district, a family at Nadiguttu, Adyar that has seen six generations in a row. The eldest member of the family, Arkula Pelapadi Gulabi Shetty cradled her granddaughter’s granddaughter and blessed the child.
Kutti belongs to the first known generation, her daughter Rukku Shedthi has been blessed to see the fifth generation of her family. Rukku’s daughter is Gulabi Shedthi , whose daughter Ambavathi is married to Timmappa Shetty. Ambavathi’s daughter Sharmila is married to Narayana Shetty. Sharmila’s daughter Preethi is living with her husband Vineeth Shetty and was recently blessed with a baby girl.
Preethi has named her daughter Pranvi. Twenty-years ago, when Preethi was born, this family had celebrated at having its fifth generation and now, the family is celebrating again.
