Was beer was sprayed on them…?
According to the girls, who were undergoing treatment, the boys who attacked in the night had bottles in their hand and came forward to spray with some liquid. However according to locals and police, in order to frighten the girls, they might have sprayed the beer on them. Besides as a testimony, there were 2-3 empty beer bottles were lying on the ground. As it was dark, it was not able to recognize them properly. However as per the vague recognition, it was told that one man was wearing red and other man was wearing yellow T-shirt.
Lack of safety measures in NSS Camp:
Now it has been alleged that there was a security lapse in the place, where NSS camp is being held for the growth of intellects, social and cultural activities of the students. When the programmes are being held in the night, there supposed to be someone with the students, either any senior member or responsible person. But here immediately after the programme was over, everybody left the auditorium including the NSS supervisor, leaving the girls at lurch. According to another source, there was no light on the way to government school from the auditorium and thus became completely helter-skelter.
SP Dr Boralingaiah and B.Y SP Prabhudev Mane,Brahmavar circle inspector Arun B Nayak,Kota police station sub-inspector K.R.Nayak and among others visited the students, who are undergoing treatment and examined. Some of the students are recovering.
The officials at the college are said to be giving evasive replies and trying to brush aside the matter, sources said.
