Udupi;Oct 02: It was announced that the chief minister’s gold medal for the year 2012-2013,has been conferred on Annappan and Meer Mohammed Gouse, both are the employees of fire brigade, in recognition of their dedicated, sincere duties.
Annappan: He has joined the Chennaraya fire brigade in 1992 as driver and attended many fire and safety calls during his tenure. As a dedicated driver, he has saved so many properties worth value in several lac by reaching the vehicle on time due to his cleverness. Besides fire calls, he also used to attended many safety calls and thereby saved many lives. He has received 27 times a cash award from the department in the past. Currently, he is working with udupi fire brigade. He has been serving the department for the last 20 years.
Meer Mohammad Gouse:
He has joined Udupi fire brigade in the year 1992 and then transferred to Mangalore fire brigade, Mangalore. He has been serving the department for the last 20 years. Due to his quick and fast reactions, he could able to save many properties worth value in several lac also saved many lives of human beings and animals from the wells. He has received 27 times cash awards from the department earlier to this.
