Mangaluru, December 21: The driver of a car had a lucky escape in a head on collision between a bus and a car near Beeri check-post, Kotekar on national highway-66 on the morning of Monday December 21st.
The car driver has been identified as Azeem (23) from Uppala.
This accident took place while Azeem was travelling from Mangaluru to Uppala. After avoiding a truck that was parked in front of the Beeri check-post, as he drove further and his car collided head-on to a KSRTC bus that was moving to Mangaluru from Kasargod.
The car is badly mangled in the accident. The car driver had a lucky escape. The passenger’s in the bus suffered minor injuries.

After the accident, publics had gathered at the spot. During this time, a middle-aged person, began behaving in an indecent manner with the police. The police had initially warned him to control himself but he continued to misbehave. Then the police took him to police station and subjected him to medical tests.
