Mangaluru, November 14: The incident in which innocent youth Harish was stabbed to death in Manihalla of Bantwal, who was not involved in any associations and his friend Samiulla who was badly injured incident is condemnable. Rs 5 lakhs compensation from government is given to the family of deceased Harish. It has also been decided to collect funds from the party to give to the family, informed district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai addressing a press meet at Circuit house in the city on Friday, November 13th.
Speaking during the press meet, he said, special police teams have been formed to investigate the incident. Stringent actions will be taken against those who involved in this act, he said. Additional police forces have been brought from Kerala to maintain law and order in the district, said Rai.
I have visited the houses of deceased Harish and critically injured Samiulla and spoke to their family members. Father of Harish is a cancer patient, and his mother is also in difficulty. Deceased Harish was the bread earner of the family. This murder is a painful incident, said the minister.
The district administration has decided not to permit for any programs. In B C Road, stone pelting incident took place by a communal group that resulted in clashes while another communal group had arrived to submit a memorandum on Thursday. Investigations have to reveal about those responsible for the incident. The communal associations are responsible for such incidents, which I oppose, said Minister Rai.

District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai on Friday evening distributed compensation of Rs 5lakhs cheque from the government to the family of victim Harish, resident of Halegetu, Navur village.
On this occasion, ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty, BUDA chairman Pious Rodrigus, Gram Panchayat member Gulabi Chandappa Naika, Taluk Panchayat member Padmashekar Jain, Akrama Sakrama Committee Chairman Mailappa Salyan, Venkappa Poojary, MCC member Sadashiva Bangera, Thashildar Purandara Hegde was present among others.
