Two days national level IT fest ‘Joshiana 6.0’ begins in St Joseph Engineering College

Mangaluru, September 30: A two-day national-level IT fest ‘Joshiana 6.0’, organized by St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor was inaugurated on Wednesday September 30th at SJEC campus.

Praveen Kalbavi, MD & CEO, Novigo Solutions was the chief guest on this occasion.

Addressing the gathered Praveen Kalbavi said, in 1992, IT revolution took place in India. Since then there has been a remarkable growth in IT industry. Thanks to the initiatives taken up by central government like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’. The IT industry in India is getting a major boost. There are a huge number of engineers graduating every year, but there is less employment. Hence you need to become employable. If you work hard then there is good career in the IT industry, he said.

Fr Joseph Lobo, director, SJEC said, this event has begun with great energy and enthusiasm. It should end on the same note. I wish all the best to this event, he said.

Fr Rohith D’Costa, assistant director, SJEC, Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, principal, SJEC Dr Rio D’Souza, vice principal/dean-MCA, SJEC, Anushree Raj, HoD-MCA, SJEC, were present among others on this occasion.
