‘TIARA-2015’- National level technical fest inaugurated at St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru.

Mangaluru, March 18: ‘TIARA-2015’, the annual national level two day technical fest was inaugurated at St Joseph Engineering College at Vamanjoor, in outskirts of Mangaluru on March 18th.

Purandara Shetty, site manager from BASF Mangaluru, was the chief guest on the occasion. The event was formally inaugurated by the chief guest by unveiling the TIARA logo.

Purandara Shetty, addressing the gathered, spoke on Innovation- the theme of TIARA-2015. He spoke about the way in which the young generation should be guided to become creative and innovative. Taking the example of innovation by a layman in Punjab, who had recently invented a geyser using natural resource, he explained how work experience will lead to develop creative articles.

Dr Joseph Gonsalves, Principal-SJEC, on addressing the students and asked them to come up with new and creative ideas.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Keith Fernandes.

Fr Ajith Menezes- Director in charge, Fr Rohith D’Costa, assistant director-SJEC, and Dr Rio D’Souza, Vice Principal-SJEC, were the other dignitaries present on the dais.

This technical fest will go on for two days on March 18th and 19th.

Faculties and students of SJEC and also from various other institutions were present at the technical fest.
