Mangaluru, January 21: Under the aegis of DK Athletics Association and Nitte University, half marathon has been organized on February 22nd in Mangaluru.
The poster releasing ceremony and logo inauguration of the half marathon was held in a hotel in the city.
Vice Chancellor of Nitte University N. Vinay Hegde released the logo. Speaking on the occasion he said, “In present situation, education institutions are keeping away from sports activities. They ought to organize programmes which develop interest in sports among the youth”.
Dr. Manjunath Bhandary – President of DK Athletics Association, Dr. M Rajshekar -Director of Nitte University, Sunil Kumar Shetty -Brand Ambassador of Mangaluru half marathon PV Mithra -Chief of Life is Calling, had participated in the ceremony.
