Dubai, March 23: Under the aegis of Dhwani Prasthana,Dubai U.A.E a renowned, famous kannada drama”Bali”written &produced by well known Jnanapeeta awardee,literary Girish Karnad and “Dhwani Ranga Siri 2013” programme was Organized. Programme was held on Friday last in Emirates International School Auditorium and proved to be very successful.
Programme was started with traditional lighting of lamp by seer Dr.Shivacharya Swamiji from Sanehalli, Chitradurga District. After receiving Ranga Siri award he said in his speech that people can deviate from the present daily bloodshed and lead peaceful and well contended life by performing continuous stage programmes like this.
He further reiterated that if we adopt art, music, literatures and stage programmes in our day today life our life will be more satisfactory.This quality of our life will help us to enhance our humanity he said.Now a days we are hearing cries that people are not coming to watch the live dramas.Under the circumstance we have to present the dramas of peoples like and should be message oriented to the society.In order to control present day atrocities,abuses,unwanted happenings in the society dramas should be used as tool he said in his speech.
On this occasion Mr.Basavaraju-Secretary, Dept of Cultural and Informations, Govt.of Karnataka has been felicitated. After his felicitation programme he said in his speech that if small and tiny organizations like this come forward and form one big organization we can safeguard our rich heritage of our language, culture, tradition and which in turn help us reach to sky high.
In view of promoting Kannada dramas it has been decided to play very successful and ran about 10 hours duration in Mysore “Malegalalli Madhumagalu”in Bangalore within two weeks time.
Programme was presided over by NRI.businessman Mr.Shreenivasa Srirangam-MD, M/s.Probel Group and chief guest Mr.Sarvotham Shetty-Presidnet, Karnataka Sangha, Abudhabi was in the programe.Mr.Praveen shetty-Owner, Fortune Hotel, Mr.Shekar shetty-Owner, Arab udipi group of Hotels,Mr.satishVenkataramana-MD.M/s.Chilywilly,Businessman Mr. James Mendonza, Mr.Ramachandra Hegde, Mr.Satish Mayya and S.M.Rao were present.
“Bali” choreographed and directed by Mr.Praksh Payyar was very successful and was well accepted and enjoyed by the spectators. Success of “Bali” has added one more feather to Prakash’s cap and he was appreciated and lauded by each and every spectator of the programe.Credit goes to Mr.Praksh Payyar for his efforts in training, grooming local artist for the success of this drama.This itself has proved that local artists are no more inferior to professional artists.
Mr.Donald Correa-as Prince,Ms.Asha Corea(w/o.Donald corea) as princess,Mr.Prabhakar Kamat as Mahoot(elephant tamer and ms.Gopika Mayya as Rajamathe with their rich experience delivered the goods very beautifully and to the utmost enjoyment of the spectators and attracted and lured the hearts of spectators in the auditorium.Over all with the co-operation of background music,lighting arrangements,costumes,stage decoration,technical assistance and well set sequences of the drama attributed for the over all success of the drama as reported.
