Mangaluru, January 26: Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala; Dr D Veerendra Heggade, has been selected for the prestigious Padma Vibhushan Award, and TV Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education has been chosen for the Padma Shri Award.
Dr Veerendra Heggade will be presented the awards for his contribution in the field of social work. He is one among the nine Padma Vibhushan Awardees.
TV Mohandas Pai is one among the 75 Padma Shri Awardees, who is chosen under the trade and industry category.
Dr Veerendra Heggade expressed his happiness over his being chosen for the prestigious award said, “This Award has increased the responsibilities on my shoulder.” He opined that Sri Manjunatha Swamy has bestowed this Award in order to guide him that he has to render unremitting services and the Government too has recognized his services, expressed Dr Heggade.
