Earthquake in Iran sends tremors across Gulf

Tremors have been felt across the Gulf following two powerful earthquakes in southern Iran.
Iranian government-owned Press TV reported that at least three had died following the quakes.
A 6.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded at Busheher – the site of an Iranian nuclear facility – at 3.52pm local time, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
A second quake, with magnitude 5.4, struck near Firuzabad at 4.05pm local time.

I has been reported that 3 people were killed.

Iranian media said search and rescue teams have been dispatched to the area, to which telephone connection has been cut.

The seismological centre has so far reported six after shocks, the strongest at 5.3 magnitude.
