Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad airports have been rated top performers in the Airport Council International’s (ACI) annual service quality awards for 2012. New Delhi and Mumbai airports have been ranked 2 and 3 respectively among the best airports in 25-40 million passengers category, while Hyderabad airport has been ranted 2 among airports that handle 5-15 million passengers each year.

The survey was conducted at 180 airports worldwide for the ACI Airport Service Quality Awards (ASQ), 2011, the Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport official said. ACI carried out the passenger survey by measuring customer feedback on a range of service delivery parameters that track the customer experiences at an airport from the moment of arrival to the departure gate.

Meanwhile, Air India has launched a 60-day advance purchase fare (Apex) scheme that will enable those planning their summer vacation well in advance to travel by air at AC train fares. The new advance purchase fare tickets are available for sale on various routes operated by Air India from Tuesday, for travel commencing before 60 days. For instance, an all-inclusive 60-day advance purchase fare on a Mumbai-Delhi flight would be about Rs 4,000.
