Mumbai : A newly formed Sri Ayyappa Yakshagana Pratistana is inaugurated in Mumbai on 13th October by wellknown bhagawat Subhramanya Daareshwar at Matunga Karnataka Sangha’s Mini Hall.
Chandrashekar Palethady, editor of Karnataka Malla presided over the function said let us save and strengthen our Yakshagana Art without considering Tenkuthittu and Badaguthittu.
Subramanya Dharesvara felicitated with shawl, memento, and rewarded with gifts of Rs. 20thousand in cash. While thanking to the felicitation he recalled his 25 years of experience in Mumbai Yakshagana tour. He appreciated that in spite of the influence of Television Medias Yakshagana has never lost its demand.
President of Mogaveera Mahajana Sangha Bagwadi Suresh Kanchan who was present as a guest said it is essential to establish such organisation to save Yakshagana.
Industrialist Gopal S Puthran, Mahabala Kunder, Raghuram Chandan, Dinesh Shetty, Udaya Puthran, Hon. President of Sri Ayyappa Yakshagana Pratistana Raju Mendon, President Ashok Shetty, Vice President Kolyaru Raju Shetty, Bhagwat Raghavendra Bhat were present on dais.
Karnoor Mohan Rai compared the programme. Bhasmasura Mohini – Manikantha Janana yakshagana was played by the artists of Sri Ayyappa Yakshagana Pratistana.
