Mumbai: The Education and Social Welfare Committee of Bunts Sangha, Mumbai organised annual Financial Support programme for Education and Welfare along with felicitation to the newly elected Karnataka Ministers and MLA’s on 1st June at at Smt. Radhabhai T. Bhandary Sabhagrah, Kurla East, Mumbai.
Maharashtra health minister Suresh Shetty was present as Chief Guest. In his speech he said Bunts community is a community which has seen success in all the field and has secured love, respect and trust with their hard work without considering caste and religion.
Bunt Sangha Mumbai donated Rs. 25 lakhs to Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Draught relief Fund and the cheque was handed over to Minister Suresh Shetty by Bunt Sangha president CA Shankara. Shetty, vice-president of Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Chairman of Education and Social Welfare Committee Mahesh S. Shetty, General secretary of Bunt Sangha CA Sadashiv Shetty, Treasurer, CA Satish Shetty, Jt. Secretary Uloor Mohandas Shetty, Jt. Treasurer, Pravin B. Shetty, Chairperson of Ladies Wing Lata P. Shetty, Youth Wing Chairman Shivaprasad Shetty, Education and Social Welfare Committee Secretary Palimar Vasant Shetty, VA Ramesh Shetty jointly handed over the cheque to the minister in the presence of Prakash Shetty, Bangalore, Sudhir V. Shetty, Sudhakar Shetty and other members of managing committee of Bunt Sangha Mumbai.
Chairman of Education and Social Welfare Committee Mahesh S. Shetty welcomed all the guests. Education and Social Welfare Committee Secretary Palimar Vasant Shetty said this year 2850 students, 250 Widows and 50 disabled have already taken the financial help from the sanghs and the amount crossed Rs. 1.1 crore.
Guests distributed Scholarships and financial helps to the, students, widows and the disabled. 
Industrialists Sudhir V. Shetty, Sudhakar Hegde, Prakash Shetty Banjara, Bangalore were present on dais and contratulated all the recipients. President of Bunts Sangha Mumbai CA Shankar Shetty who presided over the function thanked to all those who supported for this project and requested the parents to use this money only for educational purpose 
Replying to the felicitation Karnataka Ministers B. RamanathRai, Vinayakumar Sorake, UT Kadhar, Abhayachandra Jain, MLA’s Narayana Gowda, Vasant Bangera, BM Moideen Bawa, Shakutala Shetty and Pramod Madhwaraj thanked to Bunts Sangha and other for organising this event.
Ashok Pakkala and Jaya N. Shetty compared the programme. CA Sadashiva Shetty offered vote of thanks.
