Fresh complaint filed by actor against two others
Karthik Gowda, son of Railway Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, accused of rape and cheating a Kannada actor, failed to appear before the police even as the second notice to him expired on Wednesday. The police now are expected to file objection to the anticipatory bail application filed by Mr. Karthik Gowda that is coming up for hearing on Thursday.
Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi, told The Hindu: “Karthik Gowda has not appeared before us even after serving two notices.” Mr. Reddi said they would file objections to anticipatory bail on Thursday. A senior official said that the whereabouts of Karthik Gowda is unknown and a special team is trying to track him down.
The Kannada actor, who accused Karthik Gowda of cheating and rape, filed another complaint with the RT Nagar police on Wednesday night against film director Rishi and another person, Nihal Gowda, who had alleged that he had been cheated by her. She has accused the duo of defaming her in the media. The RT Nagar police received the complaint and said an FIR would be registered based on the complaint.
