Bangalore: Ace sprinter Usain Bolt tweeted a photo of himself from Bangalore on Tuesday. He is seen sporting a royal Mysore peta or turban, the most distinguishing traditional accessory of the region.
He is also wearing a green silk anga-vastra, worn again in a style typical to the region, around the neck. Both of these ceremonial formal wear, adorn him over a front-zipped sweatshirt. That is Usain Bolt for you.
Bolt is in Bangalore to play an exhibition cricket match on Tuesday evening between 4 and 5 pm. The seven-a-side and four-over-each format will see him taking on Yuvraj Singh’s team at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Team Bolt will consist of his best friend Nugent Walker Jr. and Harbhajan Singh. Team Yuvi will have his longtime friend Zaheer Khan. Other team members have been selected via digital contests on Facebook and Twitter. The event is part of a Puma promotional activity.
