The Supreme court extended the bail term of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and an accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts case, Abdul Nasser Maudany by one more month on health grounds on Friday.

The State government opposed his bail citing security reasons as Maudany was getting too many visitors. This is the second time Maudany is getting bail since his arrest in 2010 by the Bangalore Police. The conditions laid down by the court remains the same.

The Bangalore district police have deployed heavy security to monitor Maudany’s movements. Maudany is recuperating at a private hospital in white field, where top leaders of Kerala government paid visit to him.
