Bangalore(DHNS): The State BJP on Tuesday reiterated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should reverse the Cabinet decision on rejecting the KPSC selected list of 362 probationary officers.

“The government did not take an informed decision by rejecting the entire list of selected candidates. It is now hurting the 95 per cent of the candidates, who have become sacrificial lambs in this entire controversy. This is heights of nonsense, to penalise the innocent for a few who are tainted,” said party spokesperson Suresh Kumar.

He said that Advocate General Prof Ravivarma Kumar had given three opinions on the issue and in one of his opinions he had suggested the government to “ensure segregation of tainted candidates from the innocent, before taking any action on the alleged corruption in the KPSC”.

The opinion also states that the probe into the scam can be referred to a credible independent investigation agency such as the CBI, he added.

Raising questions over the intent of Dr Mythri in filing a complaint specifically with the AG, Kumar said that the government’s decision on rejecting the selection list set a wrong precedent.

“Any Mythri or Gangadharaiah (who filed a PIL in the court against the alleged corruption) will surface in the future alleging malpractice,” he said.
