Bangalore(DHNS): Dr H P S Mythri, who was instrumental in exposing large-scale corruption in the process of recruiting 362 candidates for gazetted probationary officers posts by the KPSC, on Tuesday accused former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy of cooking up stories to mislead the public.

“Kumaraswamy is behaving like an investigating officer. He has been releasing fake documents every day, forgetting the fact that he was the chief minister in the past. I will be forced a file a defamation suit and an atrocity case against him,” she warned.

While leading a protest in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue near Anand Rao Circle, Mythri urged Kumaraswamy to change his attitude towards the ongoing controversy.

Welcoming the State government’s decision of rejecting the final selection list, she said even leaders from the Opposition parties were silent all these days. “They have come together after the list was rejected and are raising their voice now. Lakhs of candidates had appeared for the exam. Why nobody is talking about the injustice meted out to them?” she asked.

She alleged that C S Dwarakanath, advocate and former chairman of the Backward Classes Commission, was indulging in false accusations. “I never sought any help from any minister. The so-called letter recommending my name has not been signed by the minister as is being alleged,” she claimed. Reacting to Mythri’s statements, Kumaraswamy said his protest was aimed at seeking justice for the 362 candidates.

The government should provide them some jobs, he said, adding that he would the fight legal battle if Mythri initiated it.

Dwarakanath claimed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had frequently contacted the then KPSC member Mangala Sridhar lobbying for a few candidates. Even the CM’s relatives visited her residence several times in this regard, he alleged.

“Minister Satish Jarkiholi had written a letter directing the KPSC to appoint Dr Mythri as assistant commissioner. The Lokayukta sleuths had raided the residence of Siddappa, assistant commissioner of Ramanagar and Dr Mythri’s father thrice,” he said.
