Bangalore traffic police SI beaten up

High grounds Traffic police Sub Inspector T.R. Srinivas who was transferred recently for slapping fine on the cars belonging to a Minister has been beaten up by a politician and his supporters. Mr. Srinivas was attacked for issuing a challan for the politician’s which was car parked in a no parking zone on the busy Nehru Circle in Sheshadripuram on Thursday evening.

Humiliated and beaten in public, Mr. Srinivas has filed a complaint against Shivrame Gowda and others.

The incident happened after Mr. Srinivas noticed that the Innova car belonging to Mr.Gowda being parked right under the no-parking zone.

Since Mr. Gowda did not obey his instructions to move the vehicle, Mr. Srinivas issued a parking violation challan. Irked by this, Mr. Gowda called his supporters who attacked Mr. Srinivas and tore his uniform. The incident happed in full public glare.

It may be recalled that Mr. Srinivas incurred the wrath of politicians and was shifted from Enforcement wing to the Investigation department for booking cases against at least three Cabinet Ministers, counsellors and government officials for violating traffic rules early this month.
