Dharwad: IPS officer Dr Ravindranath assumed charge as the ADGP (research and rehabilitation) in the city on Tuesday night. The officer was transferred from his post as the ADGP of KSRP following allegations that he had clicked pictures of a woman on his mobile phone at a coffee shop in Bangalore.
He took charge of his new post at the office of the district Superintendent of Police here.
Ravindranath said that he had taken charge as per the orders of the government. He will soon meet the DG&IGP. He refused to comment on the incidents in the past few days as investigations were on.
