Bangalore, December 19:  As many as 100 pet lovers are expected to take part in the Bangalore pet show 2014 on January 11, 2014, at the Jayamahal Palace Hotel.

M. Satya Narayan, who has organised the event, told presspersons here on Wednesday that more than 10,000 people are expected to attend and participate in the pet show.

“The show has been organised to bring all pets and their owners on a single platform. There is a sizeable number of pets in the city. However, many owners do not know how to handle their pets. We hope to convert amateur pet lovers into professionals,” he said.

Animals will also be put up for adoption.

Pet stores, groomers and kennel operators are expected to participate in the event. Mr. Narayan said expert veterinarians would offer advice on hygiene, diet, health and behaviour of pets, and be at hand to clear doubts.

Games and live interaction with animals are planned to keep children busy. Film director and producer Kavitha Lankesh said that as a pet owner, she was looking forward to the event.

The event has been organised by Blue and White in association with the Tiger Protection Society.

Pet owners and exhibitors interested in participating may call Mr. Narayan (8197979595) or Ameen Khan (9739941015), or send an email to info@bangalorepetshow or visit www.bangalorepetshow.com for further details.
