Bangalore, Oct 26, 2013, dhns: An astrologer was killed and two others injured in an accident in Madivala traffic police limits on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Konur Satish Aradhya (45), a resident of Kanakapura Road. The injured are Ravindra Babu (33) and Jagadish Babu (35), both residents of JP Nagar in the City. They are presently being treated at Nimhans.
According to police, a truck coming from Hosur collided with two mopeds and an autorickshaw, causing the accident. Aradhya, who was riding one of the mopeds, came under the truck and was killed instantly. Jagadish, who was riding pillion with Ravindra, was tossed up in the air and were severely injured.
The driver of the autorickshaw was unhurt, but his vehicle was badly damaged. The driver of the truck, Dinant Thakur (30), a native of Patna, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of accident, lost control of the truck. Police arrested Thakur and seized the truck.
