BANGALORE: If you are heading to BBMP or BDA or Education department or BESCOM, then you might to come back empty-handed. Over 5,000 officials from all departments in Bangalore are being drawn for election duty on Wednesday and Thursday.
BBMP Commissioner M Lakshminarayana and chief electoral officer Anil K Jha said that works will not be disturbed much.
“We have taken government employees from all departments such that any single utility or department doesn’t shut down for public. These officials will be back on Friday to their respective roles,” Lakshminarayana said.
Students also have a breather for the next two days, as teachers have also been called on for election duty. Lakshminarayana is handling two constituencies and Anekal and said that minimal inconvenience is planned.
