James Bond stakeholders were, in all probability, not expecting so many contenders to play the iconic Bond character since Daniel Craig quit the series mid way.

Amid rumours that actor Tom Hiddleston is in talks to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has revealed she wants to be the first female to essay the iconic British superspy, the Jane Bond.

The 29-year-old actor has revealed that one of her biggest professional ambitions is to break new ground by becoming the first woman to star as the iconic secret agent, reported Dailystar.Co.UK.
“I have a lot of unrealised dreams. I would love to play Jane Bond. My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it,” Clarke said.

Before Emilia Clarke, two other female actors have shown interest in donning the iconic tuxedo. Quantico star Priyanka Chopra said in her interview with Complex, “F… that – I wanna be Bond.”But the Indian diva made it clear that she aspires to be James Bond and not Jane Bond.

“No..it has to be James Bond. It is so hot,” she said in her interview with The Wrap.
Bollywood’s Desi Girl had made heads turn after being chosen as the lead villain in her Hollywood debut, Baywatch.

According to reports, her character was originally written for a man. It is said that director Seth Gordon had rewritten the script to cast her as the main villain, Victoria Leeds.

And it is not just Priyanka who is eyeing the coveted role, The X Files actor Gillian Anderson has also shown interest in playing Jane Bond. She made headlines last week by suggesting she could replace Craig as 007 and be called Jane Bond.

GOT actor Emilia Clarke is currently promoting her first major leading role in director Thea Sharrock’s Me Before You, which is an adaption of a romantic novel of the same name written by Jojo Moyes.
